About JOAM – Jackson Open Air Market
Larry & Jo Jackson, originally from Houston, had the desire to provide, comfortable, outdoor, covered vendor space, with electricity in a pleasant country atmosphere for those in the Texas Hill Country area. They knew they wanted to have a Farmers Market and that they wanted artisans to be able to showcase their goods.
Their beautifully landscaped property is located on FM 32 between Blanco, Fischer, Wimberley, San Marcos and Canyon Lake Texas. It is centrally located for anyone who might be traveling on the backbone Saturday’s.
There is always something cooking up special for lunch, from BBQ Brisket sandwiches, baked potatoes or sausage on a stick. The meals are excellent, both in taste as well as price. Larry is always talking with the customers, vendors and passers-by. He truly enjoys the camaraderie.
“Their friendly and inviting personalities make shopping here an incredibly enjoyable experience.”
Having officially opened their doors in August, and listening to what the vendors wanted, staying open throughout winter for Christmas shoppers and Winter Texans, their place has always had something going on.
This spring they are anticipating booths to be filled to capacity, so they encourage you to sign up for the weekend of your choice as soon as you can. But no worries… the property is abundant with trees and ample with room for pop-up tents and additional booth space even if the covered area fills up.
Traffic is always slowing, or stopping to check out what is going on, so this quaint little gem is going to be rocking the Hill Country in no time! Get in now while you still can!
